Adopting healthy eating habits can be challenging but by and large if you have a plan, keep to a schedule and forgive yourself if you slip up. You can begin to take control of your health and start the process of making smarter food choices.

I've found that lifestyle changes are successful only when they are straight forward and relevant. When it comes to exercise. People have too much of a tendency to "go all out" I realize that your motivated. But jumping right into it can cause you to:

  • get injured
  • get discouraged
  • stop your efforts

A more realistic approach would be to establish friendlier goals such as walking a few blocks in your neighborhood rather than running a few miles. Stretch more before you perform weight loading activities. Learn proper techniques on moving your body before you perform squats or use weights for your arms. Setting simple little goals can make a world of difference in helping you too reach your daily activity.

Smarter Eating choices

LEARN to COOK!!!!!!! You want to lose weight? Learn to prepare meals that you know what ingredients are in the food you EAT! There is an abundance of books and probably most accessible is YouTube. You can find all kinds of meals on YouTube to help you learn how to cook. You can look at the Food Network and see the techniques and creativity of all the chefs on the programs they offer. It can really help you to gain confidence in preparing and making good home cooked meals.

Once you have it figured out....

Once you have gotten your fitness program and your making wiser food choices. Your on your way to a new and healthier YOU!
